I have never made a post like this before, so I’m not sure exactly how it works.
My work is currently on hiatus, I have not had any scheduled hours since the weekend before Christmas, and I haven’t heard from my boss since the day before New Year’s. We have less than $30 in the bank right now and our electricity got shut off. We could probably manage to one degree except that our heating system uses electricity to turn on, so we have no heat. I dressed the kid pretty warmly, but we can’t manage without heat for more than a day. Not to mention that we can’t use our washer and dryer, which is how we clean the kid’s diapers.
We need about $500 to get everything turned on and put off the payment plan for a month.
I have a Paypal, but I’m not sure how to link to it. The email address attached to it is bluestareyed at yahoo.
Any help, or signal boost, would be appreciated.
My partner, Jason, passed away a few days before Christmas. It was very unexpected and as well as being emotionally devastating, it’s thrown me into a very difficult situation financially. We’d been living together for four and half years and for that time, I was his full-time carer. I received no benefits for being his carer, and was unable to work because of the unpredictable and fluctuating nature of his disability. We lived off various benefits that were all paid into his account, and the rent and all of our bills came out of his account. Now that he’s dead, those bills are my responsibility. I’m going to have to rely on other benefits and I don’t yet know how much those will come to or how long it will take to process those claims. I’m going to start looking for work soon, but I’m a 25 year old graduate with very little work experience so… it could take a while to get anything.
We had two cats together, Alex and River, and I do not want to lose them too. If I have to move back with my parents, I’ll have to put them in boarding because my mum doesn’t want them in the house. Both of them were strays, Alex had been abandoned by his previous owners, and I don’t want to put them through that separation and upheaval if I can avoid it.
My landlord is, mercifully, one of the nicest humans I’ve met and has said I can pay rent when I have it, but there’s other bills and food (for me and the cats) to think about. I’m currently £1500 into my overdraft. I got that far into it when I was in university, when it was still interest free, but now the interest rate is ridiculous and I haven’t managed to pay it off because I haven’t been earning.
There are things I can sell but that takes time and sorting through all of our stuff. In the meantime, it would be a huge help if people could contribute any amount they can towards helping me out of my overdraft. If I can get back into the black, I think I have a chance of staying here or at least having enough time to find either a roommate or a smaller place up here so I don’t have to move back with my parents.
I’ve put a Paypal donate button at the top of my blog and you can pay by card as well as through Paypal here.
If you can’t spare anything, I understand, but a reblog to boost the signal would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
James is someone I care about and would hate to see thrown into further turmoil after losing his partner. If you can help out, please do.
It’s rough and I am trying.
But I am exhausted and I had hoped to be doing more but it’s not working.
I’m working 40 hours with a 2 1/2 hour commute both ways most of the time with other traumatized folks. An express bus would be cheaper but it would add 300 dollars a month to my commute. One loan is on it’s way to default and will probably cost 200+ to START paying off and the other’s Disaster deferrement ends in January.
Planning meals /or budgeting has been ass because when you are out of your house 14 hours a day … well you eat out a lot. And it’s not good but having had one household member pass out already for weakness and exhaustion and another from food poisoning we do what we can.
My ADHD is all kinds of kerfluffed and I’m trying to be back in therapy as soon as posisble but all of this hahahaha
Happened during holiday time.
And now I have a cold after food poisoning during my period.
My cape has met her limit
I ‘ve lost about 6 days work time which i can’t get back not to mention lost reserves thanks to homelessness ( i was wonderfully put up but still not my house re buying basics etc etc).
So if you can please support an Amazon and because lord knows it’s hard out here and as much as it SUCKS I am aware I am not the worst off pass the message that we are accepting donations to the Amazonateria
I’d be ever so grateful
Please help and reblog!

They are targeting and threatening the safety of Rohan Ghatak, a person who is very precious and dear to me.
They are posting pictures of him. They are likening him to Aurora Shooter (murderer) James Holmes.
They are saying Rohan Ghatak “NEEDS to be stopped”
The real Steadman also requested “bomb-making info” before other 4chon members started posing as “steadman’s”
Noah Steadman and his crew of “Steadman’s” are threatening the safety of my friend. This is not a joke. This is not to be brushed off. This is serious. The actions of Noah Cooke Steadman have put Rohan Ghatak’s life in danger.

If anyone is in the NYC area, Errol (fleecedragons) has been literally abandoned there by vir parents and needs a place to stay. If you can get in touch with vir and perhaps offer some help, that would be fantastic.

Please Help.
Liberty, my service dog, is in surgery, as I type this. She has a blockage in her intestines, which was going to kill her unless she went into an emergency surgery.
Unfortunately, the surgery is going to cost $2,000. It’s not as if I won’t pay - I have to. She’s already being cut open, now. But we can’t afford anything else, because of this. Not gas, not groceries for next week, not my medication.
I need any help I can get. My whole family is really struggling, right now, because Liberty is sick. Please, if you could just donate or signal boost this, it would really help. I just really need some help, right now. My PayPal email is kwlippert@gmail.com, and every little bit helps. Thank you guys so much.

Recently a family friend was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She’s a teacher, so it shouldn’t have been a big deal since she had insurance, except after her diagnosis her insurance dropped her, saying the school she worked for hadn’t been paying her premiums. She has two teenage children who will probably have to watch their mother die.
It goes without saying that cancer treatments are expensive. So to cover the expenses and hopefully save her life, her family is hosting a fundraiser September 30th in Omaha. There will be a chili cook-off, bake sale (including homemade truffles for sale, made by yours truly), poker tourney, and auction. It’ll be held at the Omaha Association for the Deaf, 4050 Hillsdale Avenue, Omaha, NE 68107, and open from 10 AM to 10 PM.
If you’re in or near the Omaha area, please stop by and check us out. If you’re not, please signal boost so as many people as possible see this.
Until today, I thought I had found a safe place to stay while I searched for a job in New York City. I had been staying with my best friend, but as of today, I have been kicked out of his apartment by his housemate—my best friend is only a subletter, so he has to obey whatever the actual tenant says regarding guests.
Unless I find a new place to go, I will be forced out of my aunt’s apartment tomorrow and made to go back to my mother’s apartment. My relatives are very poor and cannot house me, and my mother’s abuse is the reason why I have PTSD. Staying by my mother’s house makes me dissociative, suicidal and unable to search for jobs.
I have already tried to contact people through the Trans Housing Network, which resulted in either no response or an affirmative response followed by retracting of that offer. I need a safe place to stay until I have a job and my own apartment. I can cook for myself and can pay to feed myself. I am good at washing dishes and organizing things. I just really need a safe place from which to search for jobs and apartments.
Since I am not certain of what internet access I will have over the next day, please send housing offers to my partner, lunasspecto. Do not contact him unless you are offering a couch or an air mattress to me.
I happened to notice you did not provide any proof of anything like this ever happening.Casual reminder that Mitt Romney physically assaulted a gay man. Santorum was two letters away from calling Obama the n-word on national television. Paul Ryan laughed as an elderly man with a broken arm was tackled to the ground. All three of them have expressed their hatred of women in their policies.
Deadly serious reminder that if you vote for them, you are promoting people that have attitudes think these are okay things to do.
Mitt Romney assaulting a fellow gay student.
Rick Santorum may have almost calling Obama n-word.
Paul Ryan mocking an elderly man who was tackled after he protested against ending Medicare.
Better?
Reblogging the version that’s got a shit-ton of sources so naysayers can’t b’awww about it.
Why is it that the Tea Party is full of Disney villain-esque “politicans”? I mean, really.

followers and tumblr-at-large, i need your help. as i’ve been talking about for awhile now, i’ve been accepted into art school in the uk! central saint martins college of art and design in central london, to be exact. needless to say, i’m excited beyond belief and can’t wait for september.
i’ve already secured almost all of the money needed for this huge move. but, it turns out that i have to come up with $4,000 more before i get there. i wish i had this amount saved up, but i don’t. which is why i’m turning to tumblr to ask for small donations. any amount will help, even $1.
i don’t want to make this long and drawn out, so you can read more about what i’m doing and donate HERE. simply put: i’m a broke 20-something with a degree, going back to school to follow my passion and get a second degree, and i’m doing it overseas because i like to keep life interesting. whether you can donate or not, please signal boost the mess out of this post. my appreciation will radiate through tumblr and come back to you in the form of some amazingly positive karma. thanks for reading!
currently at 6% of my goal with 8 weeks to go. signal boosts would make my life! thanks in advance, and huge thanks to those who have donated!
15 days to go until the end of my donation drive!
i’ll be honest — i had to muster up a lot of courage to post this on tumblr a couple of months ago. i didn’t know what kind of reaction it would get, and i’m not used to putting things so big and personal out into the interwebs. but, if nothing else, life over the past year or so has shown me that i have to continue to force myself to get used to being more transparent to continue evolving into the person i want to be.
so, i typed the above out, said a quick prayer and pressed post. it began to get some reblogs and likes (thanks to good friends). but no donations. the donations i was getting continued to be from people i know by name and who found out about my donation drive through other channels. it disheartened me, and i stopped mentioning it on here.
then sunday night happened. i received a massive donation from a name i didn’t recognize, the largest single donation i’ve gotten. i emailed the person and found out that they heard about my story through tumblr. i went through shock, gratitude, elation and ended up at faithfulness. you never know who’s reading and following along; that’s the thing about tumblr. that’s the thing that has led me to support many projects that i never would have known about if it hadn’t been for signal boosts. that’s the thing that i’m hoping will continue to happen for me for the next couple of weeks.
thank you to EVERYONE who has donated, signal boosted and liked so far. i’m now at 31% of my goal. even if i don’t receive the full amount i’m looking to raise, what i’ve been gifted thus far will help immensely. every donation, no matter how big or small, is appreciated. (as is every reblog!)
12 days to go.

A friend of mine whose financial security took a serious hit when they ended an abusive relationship is in a real bind. If you follow icecreamsocialistslut, you already know the basics. Their living situation is tenuous, they have kids, they owe back rent to the tune of several hundred dollars.
I don’t have anything to sell and I can’t be pledging to write for donations when I have my own paying work that needs finishing, but I do have the world’s most useless mutant superpower.
So, internet: if the get $250 in the next five days, I will do the notorious cinnamon challenge and post a video of it online. If they get $500 in the next five days, I will eat an entire tube of saltine crackers without taking a drink before I do the cinnamon challenge. If they get the full $700 being sought on the Chipin, I will eat a dry bowl of Cap’n Crunch (avec les berries cruncheuse, s’il vous plait) before I eat the saltine crackers.
If they get a $1,000, I will do the cinnamon challenge with fresh nutmeg and hallucinate that William S. Burroughs is trying to harvest my cat’s brainwaves through the telephone. All on cam. One continuous take, no interruption and no drinking.I have no idea if seeing this curiosity would be worth anything to anyone, but I have to make the offer. Nobody has to send me any proof of donation, I don’t care if it’s all from people who want to see me swallowing a succession of very dry things or only some is, the only thing that matters is that they get the money. This is a person who will absolutely go to bat for you if you need it, so if you’ve got a couple of bucks or five bucks or whatever, it’s for a good cause and if enough people do the same you just might get a show out of it.
(P.S.: If you don’t have any money to throw into the hat, please reblog… if enough people see it, it’s more likely to happen.)
We’re past the second milestone (crackers!) and 72% funded. Because I did not want to get finicky with math the third interval is actually the shortest and therefore should be the easiest so if things keep going at this rate we’ll cross the finish line, so please please please help us keep things going!

Um, hey Tumblr.
I’ve never asked for this kind of help before, but I’m at kind of a loss right now.
So I was accepted to graduate school in Nevada, and I’m planning on moving at the end of this month. However, I have no idea how I’m going to afford this move, and to make it extra swell, my current landlords are evicting me if I can’t pay my rent in full by Tuesday. (I mean sure, I was planning to be out by the 30th anyway, but apparently they can’t wait.)
I work two jobs, but neither one pays particularly well, and after a small check on Monday, I won’t get paid again for another couple weeks. In the meantime, I need to pay off my rent so I don’t get kicked out (I seriously have no idea what I would do with my stuff, or where I would stay for the next two weeks), and put a deposit down on my new apartment. I should be able to get help for the expense of the moving truck, but everything else is on me.
I also suffer from an eating disorder, and although I don’t have health insurance, my school doctor has helped me put together a (fairly basic) meal plan. I’ve been trying to stick to it, because, well, if I don’t I pass out, and I’d prefer not to lose my only sources of income by fainting on the job. The problem is that, since the meal plan includes meat, fresh fruit and veggies, etc, it’s expensive.
If I can make it to Nevada, I’ll have health insurance for the first time in over seven years. I’ll be contractually employed as a TA, and I’ll be able to get medical help for my ED. Not to be dramatic, but virtually everything hinges on this move. But the expenses are piling up, and I can’t foresee a way to make it happen without some help.
So what I need is this: Enough to pay off the rest of my rent, and something to put toward my move, so that I can continue to eat according to my meal plan and not stay stuck in South Dakota for the rest of my life. Just five dollars, or a reblog, would help me more than I can say. My paypal is here, and I’ve also added a donate button to my page (top left corner). I can’t offer much in return except my love, and free editing, proof-reading, or business-writing services to anyone who needs them. (Also, I can give you access to every kitten gif I’ve collected throughout the past few months.)
I feel weird and presumptuous, asking people who have never met me in person to help out, but I’ve seen a lot of kindness on tumblr, and just a signal boost would be so appreciated.
Thank you everyone!
Signal boosting, please please please help if you can.
