I get annoyed at the outrage we show/are supposed to show about abuse at Guantanamo bay. And not because I think ppl shouldn’t be outraged, but because we talk about it like it’s something unusually horrific.

Like…oh! Sexual abuse and torture are rampant???? They put KIDS in there???? PEOPLE SUFFER SEVERE PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAUMA??????????

That’s almost like literally every prison in the US! You know, the ones filled with Black people? Where probably hundreds of thousands of children have been thrown into over the years? Scratch that, centuries????
