This trial sucks so hard. There has been nothing good happening so far. The prosecution is being slow as fuck to share documents with the defense, causing Pvt B. Manning to remain in custody for longer. There’s also accusations that the conditions at the Marine Corps base were horrible. 23 hours a day in a single bed cell, and Manning hasn’t even been found guilty. The arrest was made in May 2010, so that’s 2 years exactly in this environment, with this treatment, and that much time without a trial.

There’s also the bull shit of lack of transparency. This is probably the most important court martial cases in US history. No outside parties will have access to the evidence, court documents, court orders, or off-the-record arguments (you know…the shit that  decides Pvt B. Manning’s fate). It seems as if there will be no accountability for the government. Not for how Manning was treated pre-trial, not for how long this has been happening without trial, not for pointless shootings of non hostile civilians, for nothing.
