this ain't livin': Death With Dishonour: Military Remains in Landfills and Other Inappropriate Places
What’s even more awful is that once the news went public, the Air Force didn’t think it needed to tell families. This left people wondering what, exactly, had happened to the remains of their dead. Where were they? How had they been handled? Should they trust anything the Air Force says, given that it treated human remains with such disrespect and callously ignored surviving family members when it was forced to openly acknowledge what it had done? This does not exactly speak to death with honor, to know that if you die on the field of battle you may end up sandwiched between a bag of used cat litter and old hot dog packages in a landfill somewhere.
